PLEASE, Ellen, get rid of the poison NOW. I lived in a house that had no mouse poison at all. One of my cats that used to be a stray caught a mouse and ate it in two bites before I could get it away from him. I felt safe knowing that we did not have mouse poison. However, the mouse had been poisoned. The poison killed my cat. I watched as the cat bled out and suffered a horrible death before we could get him to the emergency vet clinic. That image will haunt me for the rest of my life.
