Hi, I would just like you all to know that I finally gave in and tried to paint over my Formica countertops. I went to Discovery. com and looked at Christopher Lowell's instructions on how to paint over them and WOW! I absolutely love it. And it doesn't peel or scratch up. I have 4 kids and they have definately put it to the test! The only thing I did different was I did a sponge effect and it looks so wonderful! Just thought you'd like to know.
