I also had the problem of dark red wax being spilled all over my white walls. The candle had fallen from a pedestal about 5 ft" in the air and splashed the walls. The one thing that worked wonders for me was the new Mr. Clean magic eraser sponges. All you do is lightly scrape the excess wax from the walls with your finger nail, then use the magic eraser to remove the red, oily stain from the walls. I was so skepitcal about using those but now I am sold on them. They really pulled through for me!! So next time try one of these.
