We just bought a home last week. The garage does NOT currently have gutters on it. While going thru the home buying process, it was the middle of winter up here. Recently, we got some warmer weather and the snow has started to melt. My husband & I were @ the home yesterday and noticed that as the melted snow is dripping off the garage roof, its pooling around the garage and some of the water has made its way INTO the garage. (The foundation of the garage is just a concrete slab)
After investigating the garage, we came to the conclusion that if gutters were installed, it would move the water AWAY from the garage and prevent further moisture damage.
We were considering installing the gutters on our own, to save some cash for other home improvements projects we're planning.
Is installing gutters a difficult task? We're beginner to intermediate level do-it-yourselfer's. Any insights you can offer are greatly appreciated!
