If your siding is manufactured by Louisiana Pacific, you are but one in a few million customers now in the process of residing their homes. Depending upon how old your home is, you may qualify for a warranty settlement for brands other than LP. If it is LP, you are SOL, because their settlement program was depleted some time ago.
In your area, you might consider a siding manufactured by JamesHardi Corporation, http://www.hardihome.com/. They manufacture a siding which is a concrete and fiber composite and resembles wood siding, but termites, carpenter ants, moisture and humidity don't do a thing to it. This is by no means the only product on the market for this application, but it is one I am familiar with.
