I have a fire place insert that i love, however it is so old I can"t find replacement parts for it. It works great, but it does not look very nice. I want to refinish the doors and some vent covers. They seem to be solid brass. I have tired everything, including the vinegar. They have some smoke damage on them. I have tired to contact a brass restoring company but cannot find any in my area. Any suggestions?
