bob, some time ago i saw one of your episodes of "this old house" when a non-gutter type system was shown being installed. it appeared to be a length of either vinyl or aluminum that seem to snap onto a "L" type bracket and as the rain came off the roof hit this type of machine vented grate dispersed the rain water. the product name as well as the manufacturer would be very helpful.
