I am having same problem. My research came up with nothing but the standard type air gap on the market (draining onto the counter!)

I would like to eliminate the use of air gap entirely, but that might not be feasible. I am reluctantly entertaining the idea of having another hole drill into my granite counter. But the idea of overflow onto the counter is not appealing.

Has anyone found alternatives that works?
