I am a home inspector in CA (JPI Home Inspection Service). To the best of my knowledge, there have been no Zinsco product recalls, however, there are several problems with Zinsco products.

The two biggest concerns are (1) breakers that do not trip when an over-current is applied and (2) corrosion on the aluminum bus bars. Both are potential fire hazards.

A fairly common recommendation by most educated home inspectors will be to have any Zinsco products completely evaluated for safety, performance and integrity by a state licensed electical contractor.

As Zinsco products are no longer in production, replacement parts are quite expensive. A used, single pole, 15 amp Zinsco breaker will run you about $20 as compare to a new Square D breaker at around $6.
