I too have a Kenmore washer (3 yrs old) that smells like sewage. I thought it was my pipes, water heater, etc and had everything checked out. I periodically clean the grime at the top of my washer tub but the smell never goes away. I will try the vinegar. My parents owned Kenmores, this is my 2nd set and the first time I've ever had this problem. It's comforting to know I'm not alone . . . probably is the plastic tub. * I always keep the lid open after use
