I accidently set a hot pan on the countertop and it scorched a spot on the counter about the size of 50 cent piece. I was told this was a formica countertop. It is not the hard lamanated top. It looks like contact paper to me. It looks like to two sheets were place on the countertop, one on each side and it the seam meets in the middle of the sink area, the outer edge is a wood trim. Is this formica and is there anyway to fix this? Any suggestions or comments.
