Is the blower wheel rubbing inside the fan housing? You will have to loosen the set screw and space the blower wheel in the centre of the housing.
Is this a direct drive fan motor? The motor is housed inside the fan body. The fan may require lubrication. You will have to remove the fan motor from the housing and give it about 10-20 drops number 20 SAE oil. You can buy a small plastic container 3-5 oz. with a plastic zoom spout to get in there to oil the motor. The motor will probably have two little snap-caps in place at each end to keep out dirt. You'll have to pry them (snap-caps) out to add the oil. Replace after oiling. Replace motor into housing keeping the oil holes in an upward position. You may have to replace to motor. Note horsepower, voltage, number of speeds, rotation when purchasing new one, or use the right part number from manufacturer.
If fan has bearings and is a belted drive system, you may have a loose pulley either on the blower shaft or the drive pulley on the motor. You may have to replace the fan bearings and shaft. Older models had this type of set-up. That's all I can think of on this side of the screen. Regards.
