I spilled hot RED wax all over a brand new chanpagne carpet in my new apartment.
I tried the hot iron over papertowels. This is awesome. My trick was to keep doing it with fresh towels once it was getting less and less of the wax.
I then vacumed the loose and then tried the coffee filter, followed up by a weak solution of Oxy clean. The key is not to make this solution strong or you will have to do the entire carpet to get it all the same exact shade of clean or discolored.
Good luck....oh if you dont own an iron, warm the bottom of a large pan...just have to keep going back and forth but you get the idea?
