To tomh : aerobic system/ water softener

Tom, I read in your post where you said that the salts from a water softener system would not harm an aerobic treatment system. I have a Norweco aerobic system (electric pump that draws air into the holding tank)and on Norweco"s web site they do not reccomend the backwashing of brine into the system. Could I ask where on the web you got your info, so I could look into it myself? Also, on aerobic systems, does it matter how the system is made that determines weather you can add a water softener or not? Thanks for your help.
