I agree with CK. My wife and I purchased a SC matress about 6 years ago. One of the chambers was leaking air about 3 to 4 years after we purchased it and they replaced it. Everything was fine until recently the same side of the bed was leaking air again. When we lifted up the coverings we also were shocked to find mold on the foam cushion and on the outside of the air chamber. I called and SC told me that it was "normal" and that we needed to air it out once a month to avoid the problem. This was the first time I had heard about this and tried arguing with them that there had to be a manufactureres defect because the same side of the bed was leaking again and the leaking air caused moisture to build up resulting in the mold and mildew. I asked them to send out a service man to examine the bed to see if they could find out why it was prone to leaking. They said no, that they do not have service people and that it was impossible for the mold to be caused by leaking air. Instead they went on to tell me that the problem is caused when we are asleep at night and breathe out carbon dioxide and that carbon dioxide gets between the foam and the chamber and over time that's what causes the mildew and mold to build up. How absurd is that? Anyway they tried to charge me for a new foam pad and air chamber but I went balistic and they agreed to comp me. I cannot believe these people - their arrogance and lack of responsibility in this whole thing. If you take a really hard look at what goes into the SC sleep system if they have $200 in a mattress including the pump I would be surprised. The air chambers aren't even made in America, they import them from the Czech Republic which means they cost little. This is one greedy company and I wish everyone considering buying one of their sleep systems had ALL of the information. I wish I did. If I had I never would have purchased it.
