In reply to Any suggestions on products to clean laminate? by Connie Campbell-Slak on March 30th, 2004 04:21 AM [Go to top of thread]

On laminate and wood flooring, Murphy's may not be the best choice. I use a sport floor cleaning concentrate designed for use on urethane finished wood floors. It leaves no film and is applied very sparingly with a spray bottle with a floor cleaner with a terry cloth towel head (product looks like blue window cleaner). For heavy cleaning, a neutral water based cleaner on a well wrung mop. The stores that sell laminate floors can make recommendations or you can buy much less expensive products suitable for this use at a wholesale/retail janitorial supply.

I buy my paints at a professioal paint store, and cleaning products at janitorial supply. Kind of the same idea. Better service and advice, better products and much lower price on concentrated formulas. Look up a janitorial supply in your area and give it a try. They can guide you to the products and tools that will get the job done better and faster with no residual film.
