I live in a house described as an "airplane bungalow". It is more than 50 years old. The problem with the attic is that there are no soffits. The rafters rest atop the walls of the house. I looked at maybe creating a soffit area but, it would take them right down to the tops of my windows. The attic does have windows at each end of the house and a small dormer with a window but, that is it for ventilation. I want to create a small living space up there but, I am at a loss for what to do for the ventilation and insulation problem.
