particleboard/laminate countertop

What kind of countertop? We have the particleboard type with a laminate top that we are about to put in. I did a search and came across this site. Here's a link to the archive.

It helps a little, but there is a lot of contradiction. :)
Also, these types are very fragile....I noticed half of them at home depot were damaged. I think we're going to try the masking tape way with a jig saw. Anyone have any hints? Was this post helpful? Yes: or No:
