same problem here. I am resolving it by vigorously rubbing mineral spirits on the glue spots with a rag. For the really bad lumps of glue, I am melting them away with Bostik's Ultimate Adhesive remover (about $25/qt) and then using the mineral spirits (about $1/qt) to rub out the haze that has developed on the wood. It's slow going, but it looks great.
