Not too bad, we removed 70's style tile from a bathroom last year ( about 8' by 8') and replaced the concrete underlayer with concrete board. It took less than half a day to break up the flooring with a sledge hammer and carry it out in a 5 gallon bucket. Just make sure you have a big enough trash bin to contain all of the debris. I was thrilled with the end result.
