hi there , just a quick note to let you know that we have turned our 2car garage into a much needed family room and we have had carpet laid except for a four foot walkway all the way around that forms a L-shape, I cleaned the concrete floor then painted it a sand color with conrete (or patio) paint, it has held up great , I do suggest you apply at least 2 or 3 coats of the paint to insure durability,I have also removed rubber backed carpet from the 70's and painted a Faux wood floor using only acrylic paints and then applying 6 coats of water-base sealer, with a 1" brush, I was crazy! But have had a ton of compliments. Go for it!
