I have a Sears induction stove top and have used it for about 15 years, working great. I plan to build a new house and move and find Sears no longer carries this top. I only paid a couple of hundred for it as it was on clearance. The only one I've seen on the net is $4,000. Wow. But I would love to continue to use it safer than other electrics and quits cooking the minute you turn it off. It also goes off if no pan is on burner. Beaps when pan is removed until turn off.
