drying lumber ( well said henry in ml)

i work at a pine mill(tembec)and it's true what henry said that the pine is dry kiln in between 16% and 20% depending on what grade your wood is,but if your using the wood to build a picnic table i woudn't worry to much about the % as long that it was air dried on crossers a bit.don't air dry to long or it might stain with time. i'd would worry more about % if your were building inside furniture.make sure that you cover the top of your wood if you air dry.
