I'm looking at getting New Vinyl siding on my townhouse. Some contractors says they will take my existing wood off of my house, others say they will keep it on and simply put insulation & the vinyl siding over it. Which is better?
On one hand, keeping the wood will give my house that much more insulation against cold, but when they look to put the Vinyl on, won't it be too bulky and then my trim won't fit as nicely as if the wood wasn't there?
