I need to know this too. No one has an answer in over 2 years?! come-on! where are the "experts"? ;-)

We had our ceiling "cottage cheese" tested, and they only showed 1%-5% asbestos content. This seems very low to me. Why even bother to put any in there if only a few percent? That's not going to insulate anything! ;-) Would this make the ceiling less hazardous to remove?
