Pool Insulation

Everyone knows that using a solar cover on pools attracts solar heat and keeps the heat in. I was wondering about insulating around our above ground pool. I can't seem to find any information about insulation used on the outside of above ground pools! Our pool temp drops considerably at night, and I thought it couldn't hurt to insulate the outside edges of the pool. Has anyone ever done this? What products did they use? I thought of using covered insulation, but I don't want my pool to look junky or cheap. Any suggestions???
