Hi Mike,
Maybe we could help also. We quarry bluestone here in Pennsylvania and ship to California. We have been looking into rail shipping greatly reducing the shipping costs. We are wholesale producers and suppliers of bluestone throughout the country and Canada. There must be a supplier near you, we will look into it. we sell by the truckload and containers are picked up by truck taken to a train shipped via rail and offloaded onto a truck for delivery. We also ship by truck anywhere. usually 2500-3000 square feet of stone is shipped per load depending on the thickness. It costs the same to ship 1400 feet as it does 3000 so full trucks are suggested. You can visit our web site at
