I have had a horrible experience here in Colorado. The local installer did a horrible job. The main manufracturer has not helped a bit. Thank God that due to scheduling and all I have had 3 months + to find issues. I had several bathrooms done 1 at a time. The first one done in Jan. 2004 is falling apart. The seal is poor and now there is a bubble in the bottom where it hasn't sealed with the original. The so called 1 piece surround is 1 piece after they caulk it. It is applied in 3 sections. Thus, they too have leaked and now the wall board behind needs total replacing.
In bath #2 we lost 4 sq feet at least of bathing space. They say it was because it was "cement" original. Thus an average adult would have to bath in a area about the square footage of a typical kitchen sink. Water gets all over the floor etc. The said I need to install glass door. Anywayl, I had them rip it out totally and will acid wash and paint myself.
Again I say BE CAUTIOUS. I have heard little positive and wish I had investigated more to begin with. REMEMBER that at first the 1st bath looked amazing and was great. It took from Jan. to the end of March to see the damage.
I am so thankful that I did not pay them anything yet and at this point am having them tear out everything and will most likly not let them re-install as the would like.
