I'm considering the purchase of a historic property with a 900 square foot building on-site. The building is wood, has no basement, but does have an oil heat unit. I would like to tear it down, but have no idea how much it costs to do so. The building's wood is not "sellable." I know that disposing of the wood in the town dump can be costly. Is $5,000 a reasonable estimate for cost? Appreciate any advice. Thanks.
