peeling wallpaper- wallboard

Posted by Ben on April 10th, 2004 05:20 PM

My aunt was coming to our house and I decided to fix a few things. One of them was the wall in the dining room. A strip of it was stained and peeling. I thought I could just replace the strip, so I wetted the paper and peeled it but it pulled off some the plaster with it and it looked rotten. I decided to nail a piece of wallboard over it and later hang new paper, but the nail broke through the wallboard.

What should I do now? I'm in a hurry and want to fix it myself. Sorry for the long post. Thanks. Ben
