My washer is an older model, second-hand, possibly ten years old now, and has many problems. It's been unbalanced for awhile, making a terrible noise that doesn't quit, even after re-distributing the clothes, and has also leaked for a long time, but now I have a new problem. All it does now is fill-up and drain, no agitating. There's a screaching noise and then maybe once or twice, it'll swish the agitator. It doesn't even drain that quickly or fully, so all you hear is the water going in, and then after a long while, it'll drain itself, very slowly. It also changes the problem by filling itself and draining at the same time and it's still leaking!! I can't even remove the agitator to take a look at anything, because it's so stubborn and won't come off. My husband tried everyting he could, but because we can't get the agitator out, it seems impossible to fix. Can anybody help us? Does anyone know what to do? My husband's trying to blame me for the washer quitting on us !! LOL,-- he says that I put too much of a load in the washer, and I disagree. At the first onset of these problems, I had only 8 articles of clothing in the washer, so I really need some help. Thanks in advance to those who can sympathize and to those who can help.
