I'm wondering what exactly you are not seeing or whether your expectations are different from mine. After testing this paint on a hallway, I did my entire dining room and Living Room with two more different colors. I'm extatic about the results and I'm not a pro. Remember suede look means you will have brushed look like suede that has had someone wipe across it and you get the varying grain shadows. Maybe it's just that I had someone mention to me that you need to make sure and paint in x or v or w or z strokes, I varied them as I painted, going in zig-zag and short strokes all over. Also make sure and read the directions, you need to do at least two coats, it's a translucent covering, so the first coat's strokes will also translate somewhat to the next coat. I have what I consider wonderful textures and reflections depending on where you view the paint.

I have to also mention you do need to be a bit careful using this paint. They tend to be very dark and warm colors, which I love. However, they can drastically change the feel of your room and if you're like me, could prompt you to change your lighting if it's inadequate for the new light absorbing colors. I need to put additional lighting in my hallway now, but I'm very happy with the softening effect this paint gave to my dining and living areas. They are much more inviting and relaxing than the stark pastels that were there before.

Good luck with this paint, but do remember, it's Supposed to look kind of streaky and show your strokes, you just need to make sure your strokes are not all uniform and parallel.
