I have a walnut wood lacquered desk bought from a nice furniture store. I had bought one of those clear desk pads to place on top to prohibit the desk from getting scratched. Good idea but I put a computer monitor on top. Now the item has melted on top of the desk. I went to HD and bought acetane with fine steel wool to remove the acrylic material and stain to refinish the top. Now the stain won't take. It is just a light color. (Minwax wood finish). What else can I do to make the color dark to match the rest of the Furniture. What materials do I need to use.
