Murry 17.5 42" cut riding lawn mower

I also bought my mower from Wal-mart in 2001 and used it only three times that season, due to buying it late in the season, used it 5 times the next year in 2002 and only 4 times in 2003 when I noticed that the transmission was not working very well, had no ground speed. Took it to a repair show to see what was wrong with it, they told me the transmission was bad and needed to be replaced. now I have a mower that I can not use and will not spend the money to replace trans due to it will cost almost as much as the mower to replace. Murry sucks
