I have all of my rooms painted with satin-finish latex paint. I recently bought some of those "Magic Erasers" from Mr. Clean to get some marks off the walls. It says on the package not to use it on glossy surfaces but I didn't think satin-finish paint would be harmed. I can see dullish spots on the paint where I used the Magic Eraser. Perhaps try using the Eraser very evenly on your walls to scrub off a little of the extra shine.
