I am remodeling my basement and I've just started the framing with 2x4's. My question is what is the best way to anchor the 2x4's to the concrete floor? The foundation is old (40 years) and has never leaked and I don't want to cause a crack that would change that now! Also on one side I am only doing a half wall that will cover the poured concrete portion of the wall, but leave the top brick half exposed. Since I won't be able to anchor the framing to the floor joice overhead, how best can I anchor it to the concrete wall, again without causing it to crack? Thanks!
