Cost to demolish outbuilding? Posted by Tom Lynch on March 21st, 2000 03:40 PM In reply to $5,000 reasonable...but need more info. by Jim -ATS on March 17th, 2000 04:38 PM [Go to top of thread]
Jim, Thank you for such a thorough and helpful response to my inquiry. I have not yet made an offer on the property that has this outbuilding. Your response has given me more confidence in making an offer. This outbuilding is a significant structure. Although it does not have a basement, it is on a concrete slab (800 sq feet). This will need to be broken up. The goal is to remove the oil furnance in an appropriate fashion, remove everything else that is salvagable, knock down the wood structure, break up the concrete slab, cart everything away, and then do some landscaping with the land. If this can be done for $5,000 or less, then I'm happy to pay it.
