Okay We are in the process of looking for a company to reglaze our tub not do it ourself but perhaps you can still help us. Our tub was originally installed with the house in the 30's and glazed with a product that had lead in it. We have a toddler and do not want to bathe her until we reglaze the tub.
As i have made the calls to companies i have learned that there are three basic products out there that companies use to reglaze with. This leaves me a bit confused and unsure which product will be best. I understand that the epoxy's are not worth the money. I am concerned that the acrylic's use urethane components which in other forms are toxic. Finally, i do not know enough about the synthetic porcelain other than it is a combination of glass, sand, porcelain, polyesters.... Can you please give me information on each that will help me make a decision on which one to choose?

I really would appreciate your response!!
