I installed a submersible 1/4 hp. sump pump in a 2 ft. deep container in the basement. The pump includes a float switch & there is a 1 1/4" discharge pipe with a check valve approx, 3 ft. above the outlet of the pump. The 1 1/4" pipe rises a total of 9 ft. then runs horizontally about 4 ft. to the outside. The pump works o.k. but when it shuts off, the entire system chatters for about 10 seconds. Is there any way to remedy this?
