14x12 Stage

Yeah,we want to build a stage thats 14ftx12ft, how would we go on doing that? we kind of already have an idea,but I'm not too sure...we were thinking of cutting 9 3ft post and putting a foot of it in the ground,then making the base structure of the stage with like 7 6x2's with of course one on each side..then having one going down the middle, then 2 going diagnally into the bottom part of the middle 6x2,then some sheets of ply boards for the floor,..you think there would be anything easier? we've never built anything like this before,so we don't really know,any advice would be a great help, Thanks
