Figure that it will have to be substantial to be safe and that it will have to be solid if you want it to feel right under the performers.
If this is outside in a cold climate, the posts should go down below the frost line so they won't be heaved out of the ground. Or you could set them on concrete paver blocks on the surface.
You suggested seven 2x6s which would give you 2' between. Actually that takes eight of them. Nine posts (use 4x4 pressure treated) would probably work but you would get a more solid feel if you also ran a beam midway lengthwise; use a doubled 2x8 under the 2x6 joists. Then use a 2x8 on the ends or the joists as a cap.
You can fasten the joists and beam to the posts with galvanized steel construction connectors.
A single layer of 3/4" plywood for the floor would be ok if you use something like subfloor grade tongue and groove ply; it is very stiff.
