I have an outside faucet that is leaking just inside the basement wall. It is one of those freeze proof faucets but it's leaking because I forgot to unhook the hose before winter and the pipe has cracked. My question is when repairing this can I use compression type fittings to connect the pipes together or do I have to solder the pipes together?
