Caution on Foam backed carpet

I just tried to install some of the simply awesome foam backed berber carpet from Menards over the weekend and have had nothing but trouble.

The first room went alright, but in the larger room the carpet pattern had a wave in the threads that was totally impossible to match up on the seams. This wave in the pattern was at the beginning of the roll and started about 10 feet into the roll and went across about half of the 12 foot width. I had to tear up and entire 12 x 17 section, remove the foam and glue and reinstall a new section.

This is just a word of caution for anyone interested in attempting this. Make sure there are not any defects in the carpet before gluing it down. I was naive and assumed quality workmanship.
