solvents make a mess of it. You have have to mechanically remove it. use an x-acto, utility knife, or single edge razor blade. Hold the blade perpendicular to the lense. Lightly scrape at the glue spot. The glue will sorta flake off in thin layers, once the remaining glue layer gets thin enough it too will slide off. Little flecks may remain, but you should get most of it. Obviously, you dont want to scratch at the lense when doing this. Be aware that plastic lenses probably have a coating on the, dont scrape this off. If your hands aren't steady or you feel the scraping procedure isn't working, dont do it. LOL
