Stove element(s) shorted to ground

** I checked with a continuity tester and found that with the plug out, even the "Calrod" heating elements show continuity to earth pin! **

What "earth pin"?

An element should not have *any* continuity between the wire terminals and its outer surface. If an element does, it is defective and needs to be replaced.
