I have just had the floors fixed from a water leak, now when I attempt to lay the tile at the entry door, I find that where the new wood attaches to the original floor is not level. Apparently the remaining original floor also sustained some water damage, but did not rot out. But it seems to be swolen. There is about a 3/8" difference in the from the middle of the new wood to the door. How can I fix this myself without having to call out an expensive contractor?
