To get the belt around the rear pulley (engine) I have found it is easiest to stand the unit on end, apply downward pressuer on the 1/2 inch rod that is sticking out from the back side. This is the clutch and it will give clearence to put the belt in place. Once that is complete side the unit back down and route your belt.

I myself did not have the pleasure of seeing the orignal belt installed as the unit was brought to me with a cut belt. So it took me some time to figure out the correct way to install it, only to find that the blade brake needed replacement as well.

Just my two cents worth hope it will help someone out there.
