I have seen the methods for painting laminate.. now can you take this a step further and do a distressed finish? We want to buy cheap laminate cupboards and make builtins all around our bed on one wall, this will be about 10 ft on either side of bed (to do this in wood would cost a fortune!)... I would like do do first coat of paint in yellow gold colour and second coat in colour similar to minwax jacobean stain (dark walnut), then sand off bits to show the yellow gold colour - this yellow matches different accents thruout the house.
