old hardwood flooring under subfloor Posted by Jen on April 27th, 2004 10:19 AM
I just bought an older house and removed the carpet and subfloor to get to the hardwood floors. I did that water test and the water doesn't soak in to the wood, it just beads up on top. Do I need to sand the floors or can I just clean and stain them?? They don't have a stain on them currently. If I don't need to sand them, what can I clean them with that will get all the old dirt off?
Thanks. Was this post helpful? Yes: or No:
