Asbestos

I wouldn't come unglued over this. The people who had problems with it worked in an asbestos dust environment for years, and smoking was probably a factor.
I have removed several popcorn ceilings that probably contained asbestos, but I did it wet and I have no concern. For that matter, I have handled asbestos off and on for over 60 years without ill effects.
